Thompson (biceps) has returned to practice in full, Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times-Union reports. Thompson left practice early last week due to a bicep issue but it appears he's now past the ailment.
Thompson (bicep) is questionable to return to Thursday's against the Patriots, John Oehser of the Jaguars' official site reports. Thompson played in mainly special teams roles last season, but he's expected to get some defensive snaps in 2017 when Tashaun Gipson needs a breather.
Thompson signed his exclusive-rights contract tender with the Jaguars on Monday, Howard Balzer of BalzerFootball.com reports. Thompson, who converted from cornerback to free safety last offseason, finished the 2016 season with five tackles on defense and six on special teams across 15 game appearances. He'll likely enter the 2017 campaign in a backup role behind starter Tashaun Gipson.
Thompson (ankle) was a full participant during Wednesday's practice. Thompson endured a one-game absence aftering injuring his ankle in Week 13 against the Broncos, but he's in line to return Sunday against the Texans. He figures to back-up Tashaun Gipson at free safety per usual.
Thompson (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Vikings. Thompson was forced to the sideline during last week's loss to the Broncos, and the issue is severe enough to keep him out in Week 14. Expect Tashaun Gipson to continue drawing the start at free safety for Jacksonville.
