Georgiev allowed five goals on 37 shots in Monday's 6-2 loss to the Islanders. The sixth goal was an empty-netter with 1:12 left in the third period.
On the bright side, Georgiev wasn't pulled from his start in this game, but his woeful start to the season continues. Aside from the 0-2-0 record and an abysmal .790 save percentage, Georgiev has given up 13 goals on 62 shots through three appearances. It wouldn't be surprising if the Avs decide to shake things up between the posts shortly, and the team's next game is Wednesday at home against the Bruins.
