Avalanche's Darcy Kuemper: Gets starting nod against Rangers

Kuemper (upper body) will be between the pipes on the road versus the Rangers on Wednesday.

Kuemper will be making his first appearance in the crease since suffering his upper-body injury against Dallas on Nov. 26. Prior to getting hurt, the 31-year-old backstop had appeared in 15 of the Avs' first 17 outings and figures to resume a heavy workload now that he is back in action.
