Blackhawks' Connor Murphy: On training camp roster

Murphy is healthy and will be participating in training camp, the team announced Tuesday.

Murphy missed the regular-season finale in 2023-24 due to an undisclosed injury. It's not clear whether this issue was related to Murphy's groin injury that kept him out of the lineup from mid-January to the beginning of April. Either way, the 11-year NHL veteran should fill a bottom-four role on defense while also serving on the penalty kill. The 31-year-old defenseman has collected 141 points throughout his career in 677 regular-season appearances.
