Schmaltz provided a pair of assists, fired two shots on goal and went plus-2 in Friday's 5-4 overtime win over the Ducks.
Schmaltz had a hand in Christian Fischer's power-play goal in the first period, and he also set up Clayton Keller's game-winning goal in overtime. With five points in his last three games, Schmaltz is getting warm on offense. The 25-year-old is up to six points, 19 shots on net and a minus-4 rating in 10 contests. As long as he's in a top-six role, fantasy managers who need scoring could benefit from the American forward as long as they can weather a potentially poor plus-minus rating.
