Schmaltz (upper body) will be activated off injured reserve and suit up against Florida on Friday, Arizona Coyotes Insider Craig Morgan reports.
Schmaltz will return to the lineup following a 19-game stint on IR due to his upper-body issue. Prior to getting hurt, the 25-year-old winger was off to a slow start to the year with just one assist in six games. Despite the extended layoff, Schmaltz should be in the mix for regular minutes in both a first-line and No. 1 power-play role.
