Devils' Akira Schmid: Sent to minors

Schmid was reassigned to AHL Utica on Wednesday, per Mike Morreale of NHL.com.

Schmid has a 5-7-1 record, 3.25 GAA and .893 save percentage in 15 contests with the Devils this season. Isaac Poulter was called up from Utica in a corresponding move.
