Devils' Frederik Gauthier: Reassigned to AHL

Gauthier was demoted to the minors Monday.

Gauthier's reassignment could be temporary as it leaves the Devils without a full complement of forwards ahead of Tuesday's matchup with the Panthers, though Mason Geertsen could be an option to move into a fourth-line role if needed. In eight games this year, the 26-year-old Gauthier remains pointless while logging four shots, 16 hits and three blocks while averaging 11:06 of ice time.
