Islanders' Andy Greene: Plays 1,000th game

Greene played in his 1,000th career game as the Islanders lost 4-1 to the Lightning on Monday.

Greene was the only defenseman for the Islanders to post a plus rating for the team Monday and was also tied for the team lead in shots with three. Greene is the definition of a defensive defenseman as he only has one point, an assist, in 12 games this season and only one goal and five assists in his last 67 games.
