Nielsen snapped a six-game point drought with a goal, an assist and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 6-3 win over Toronto.
Nielsen looked good en route to 22 points in the first 30 games of the season, putting him on pace for one of his finest NHL campaigns, but had fallen off in a major way recently despite continuing to play big minutes -- including on the power play. Although his productivity can be inconsistent, Nielsen's a credible source of power-play points and is already just one goal shy of matching last season's 14.
