Islanders' Pierre Engvall: Likely out for season

Engvall (hip) underwent ankle surgery Tuesday and will likely miss the entire 2025-26 campaign, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.

Engvall began the year on injured reserve following offseason hip surgery, and he'll likely miss the entirety of the campaign following his ankle procedure. The 29-year-old made 62 regular-season appearances for the Islanders last year and recorded eight goals, seven assists, 47 hits, 16 PIM and 12 blocked shots while averaging 11:49 of ice time.
