Black was loaned to AHL Charlotte on Friday.
Black was called up by the Panthers on Tuesday to provide additional goaltending depth, but he didn't appear in any games during his time with the NHL club. His demotion to the minors suggests that Jacob Markstrom (undisclosed) could be nearing a return to action.
