Panthers' Rocco Grimaldi: Begins skating drills

Grimaldi (ankle) returned to the ice and was observed skating Friday, George Richards of the Miami Herald reports.

Grimaldi, who was placed on IR earlier in the week, is without a timetable to return, but his presence on the ice Friday is certainly a step in the right direction. The 22-year-old scored 14 goals to go with 28 assists in 64 AHL games last season.
