Soderblom (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday.
The Penguins announced Tuesday that Soderblom was considered day-to-day due to his upper-body injury, and the 25-year-old will be unavailable for multiple games after landing on injured reserve. Prior to sustaining his injury, he had recorded an assist, 15 hits and four blocked shots while averaging 11:25 of ice time over his first six appearances of the regular season.
