Borowiecki was taken off the ice on a stretcher during Saturday's game against Philadelphia, Bill Meltzer of NHL.com reports.
Borowiecki suffered the injury when Philadelphia's Morgan Frost hit him into the boards while Borowiecki was in an awkward position. There was no penalty called, it was a routine situation that unfortunately went wrong. The Predators reported that Borowiecki was taken to the hospital. He was conscious with movement in all his extremities.
