Talbot will patrol the home crease in Monday's preseason contest against Pittsburgh, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Talbot is slated to play the first two periods, and Sebastian Cossa will enter the game in the third frame. The 37-year-old Talbot posted a 27-20-6 record with a 2.50 GAA and a .913 save percentage in 54 regular-season appearances with the Kings in 2023-24. He is battling with Alex Lyon and Ville Husso for Detroit's No. 1 goalie role at training camp.
