Moen announced his retirement from the NHL on Tuesday, Marc Antoine Godin of Montreal's La Presse reports.

Moen, a journeyman, officially hangs up his skates after 12 years in the league. He produced 136 points (59 goals, 77 assists) in 747 career games. Although he consistently played in the bottom six, Moen earned his paycheck as a low-maintenance role player, and he brought size to the lineup at 6-foot-2 and 215 pounds. The 34-year-old retires as a member of the Stars.
