Tuukka Rask: Undergoes hip procedure

Rask recently underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum in his hip, Joe McDonald of The Athletic reports.

As a result, Rask is expected to be out until January or February. Though he's an unrestricted free agent, the 34-year-old has stated that he has no interest in playing for any organization other than Boston. Whether he re-signs with the Bruins down the road presumably hinges on how well and how soon he's able to recover from his procedure, as well as the team's context at that time. For now Jeremy Swayman and Daniel Vladar top the B's goaltending depth chart.
