Vrana recorded an assist and two shots during Tuesday's 7-2 loss to the Predators. The helper gives Vrana three goals and five points in as many games as the 22-year-old is starting to round into form as a top-six winger as he's knocking on the door of a career season heading into restricted free agency this summer. The Czech winger has been productive enough to warrant rostering in standard formats and perhaps even a must-own status in deeper leagues.
Vrana tallied two goals -- one on the power-play -- an assist, a plus-2 rating and four shots during Tuesday's 5-3 win against the Flyers. Vrana was a dominant factor with perhaps his best all-around game of the season. The 22-year-old winger is up to 14 goals and 24 points as he looks likely to smash through last season's career-high 27 points. A 40-plus point campaign is looking fairly reasonable for the young Czech who has cemented himself as a top-six forward on a talented Caps roster, so get him while you can.
Vrana scored his 12th goal of the season in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Predators. Now with 21 points on the season, Vrana is enjoying a breakout campaign and should easily surpass the 27 points he posted last year, en route to what could be the first 40-point season of his career. Playing on the Caps' second line opposite Evgeny Kuznetsov and Tom Wilson is obviously paying dividends for the 22-year-old winger, so don't hesitate to scoop him up off your league's waiver wire if he's still available.
Vrana scored a pair of goals and recorded a plus-2 rating in a 5-3 loss to the Golden Knights on Tuesday. The 22-year-old is quietly putting together a nice season. With his first two-goal night of the season, Vrana has upped his season total to eight with 16 points in 27 games. He also owns a plus-9 rating, which is a better mark than the plus/minus he recorded in his first 94 career games. Vrana's 17.0 shooting percentage, though, will undoubtedly drop, so he's not likely to continue this pace from a scoring standpoint.
Vrana dished out two helpers -- one on the power play -- in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Blackhawks. Vrana's up to 12 points through 21 games, showing dramatic improvement after recording only 27 points in 72 appearances last season. The power-play point was his first of the season, so the 22-year-old forward could start scoring at an even better rate if he's able to add extra-man production to his repertoire.
