Tippett scored a goal and an assist, both on the power play, in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Senators. The 23-year-old at least ended the season in style, even if it was his first multi-point performance since Jan. 20. Tippett has yet to put things together in the NHL after being the 10th overall pick in the 2017 Draft, but he did manage a career-high 10 goals and 21 points through 63 games this season.

Tippett collected an assist during Sunday's win over the Penguins. The helper marks Tippett's fifth point in 18 games wearing a Flyers sweater. He has 19 points in 61 games between the Flyers and Panthers this season.

Tippett scored the game-winning goal Thursday in a 4-1 win over Columbus. He skated most of the game with Kevin Hayes and Noah Cates, and the trio combined for four points (two goals, two assists). Tippett fired two shots, laid two hits and blocked one shot. It took a while for him to find his legs with the Flyers, but Tippett now has two goals in his last three games.

Tippett will be in the lineup Sunday against the visiting Islanders, Bill Meltzer of NHL.com reports. Fresh off his Saturday night trade from Florida in the Claude Giroux deal, Tippett will make his Flyers debut. The 23-year-old (and 2017 No. 10 overall pick) will start on the third line next to Oskar Lindblom and Morgan Frost.

Florida traded Tippett, a 2024 first-round pick and a 2023 third-round pick to Philadelphia in exchange for Claude Giroux, Connor Bunnaman, German Rubtsov and a fifth-round pick Saturday, Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic reports. Tippett was the 10th-overall pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft but he's yet to find much success at the NHL level. The 23-year-old has 14 points through 42 games this season and another 18 points through 12 appearances with AHL Charlotte. He should see an increased role with the Flyers and a chance to tap into his offensive ceiling.
