Frost is taking part in Phase 2 skates with the Flyers, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Frost put together a solid first professional season after tallying 13 goals and 16 helpers in 41 appearances for Lehigh Valley. In addition, the 21-year-old center saw action in 20 NHL contests with Philadelphia in which he registered seven points, 31 shots and four hits while averaging 13:41 of ice time. Given Frost's development, Nate Thompson and/or Derek Grant could find themselves looking for a new clubs following the 24-team postseason.
The Flyers designated Frost for AHL Lehigh Valley on Friday. Frost drew into just two of the five games since his promotion to the big club and failed to tally any points. The 2017 first-round pick will return to the minors for some additional seasoning and could rejoin the Flyers at a later date.

Frost posted an assist and a plus-2 rating in a 4-1 victory over the Ducks on Tuesday. After scoring three points in his first two games, Frost went seven straight without any points. However, he now has three helpers in the last five contests since breaking that dry spell. Overall, he has two goals and six points with a minus-2 rating in 14 games this season. He also has two PIM, three blocks, four hits and 27 shots.
