The 2016 Kentucky Derby is ready to break out of the starting gate. The fastest two minutes in sports will enter the starting gates on Saturday at Churchill Downs with betting favorite Nyquist trying to repeat last year's Triple Crown feat from American Pharoah.
Nyquist is the heavy favorite to win at 2/1. The horse comes in undefeated in its seven races, including wins at the Florida Derby and Breeders' Cup Juvenile.
Things get started early in Kentucky on Saturday, with races starting as early as 10:30 a.m. at Churchill Downs. Coverage from Louisville begins on NBC Sports Network at 12 p.m. ET before moving over to NBC at 4 p.m. ET.
