Missouri sports betting preview

The Tigers haven't played since Dec. 22, and that was a tough result to sit on for nearly two full weeks. Missouri lost to No. 20 Illinois, 91-48, at St. Louis' Enterprise Center before going on an extended break. Illinois shot 52% from the field, compared to Missouri's 29%, and Illinois made 15 3-pointers while shooting 45% from deep. But it was non-conference at least, and the conference season begins Saturday night against Florida in a game with greater importance. 

The Gators went 9-4 in non-conference play this season, with three of their four losses coming against ranked opponents. Missouri draws a tough conference opener against the reigning NCAA champions, but there will rarely be an easy contest in SEC play this season. Florida was the preseason No. 1 team in the preseason SEC in media polls, while the Tigers ranked seventh.
