Maybe deep down Holly Holm just doesn't like celebrities. After knocking out Ronda Rousey at UFC 193 earlier this month, Holm revealed a particularly embarrassing encounter with another celebrity: Beyonce.
Apparently, Holm recently met Jay-Z and Beyonce. When Jay-Z introduced Holm to his wife, Holm did something unheard of -- she asked Beyonce for her name.
Here, I'll let Holm explain (via KRQE):
"I met Jay Z and he says this is my wife and I say ... oh hi what is your name? That is what I do when I meet someone's wife. As I am shaking her hand I am thinking why did I just say that."
According to Holm, she immediately apologized to Beyonce, who wasn't offended by Holm's blunder.
Crisis adverted.
