Spelling is hard, it's just harder for some people than for others. With the 2017 Scripps National Spelling Bee underway since May 28, Google has decided to honor the annual event by making everyone else feel really dumb.
While those in the Bee have been spelling words such as knaidel, stichomythia, feuilleton and scherenschnitte, the layman has undergone such challenges as spelling "patient," "angel," and "college." Also, someone should really check on Wisconsin to make sure they're alright.
If this seems depressing, just remember that the kids in the Bee couldn't spell these words once. Then remember that none of them are older than 15.
