Steve Austin would consider match vs. Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32
Steve Austin has not wrestled since 2003, but could Stone Cold be enticed back to the squared circle with a match against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32?

WWE fans will forever love "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, the company's most popular figure in the late 1990s and early 2000s. They have also grown fond of Brock Lesnar, the former UFC Heavyweight Champion and NCAA Division I Heavyweight Champion who took the company by storm in 2002, returned in 2011 and recently signed a long-term contract with WWE.
So when Paul Heyman, the self-described "advocate" for Lesnar, brought up the possibility of an Austin-Lesnar showdown at WrestleMania 32 next year, let's just say fans got pretty excited.
While being interviewed by Austin for his podcast, which was simulcast live on WWE Network, Heyman turned the tables and posed a question to Austin.
"Would you like to fight Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32?" Heyman asked.
Before Heyman could finish, Austin responded: "I'd beat his ass. If I was going to fight Brock Lesnar, I'd beat his ass, and you know that as well as I do, Paul."
Heyman continued pressing the subject, and Austin was game for the topic, noting that it was most likely up to Lesnar if he wanted to take the risk, despite the fact that Austin has been retired from in-ring competition since 2003.
"I think the person that really ought to think about it is Brock Lesnar because I don't think he wants to take all the momentum, all the good stuff that you guys have done and roll into 105,000 people ... and get his ass smoked."
And where is WrestleMania 32 going to be hosted? Austin's home state of Texas, of course.
Austin returning for a match at the event has been rumored for quite some time. With WWE looking to build up this particular WrestleMania -- which could likely set a company single-event earnings record -- as well as its live streaming WWE Network, there may not be a better potential match to stage in the Lone Star State.
Sure, Austin vs. Shawn Michaels would be an all-Texas match, but Michaels does not draw non-WWE fans nearly as well as Lesnar does when he steps into the ring.
