MaxPreps Top 25 high school football scores: No. 12 DeMatha scores only touchdown of the game in fourth quarter
Don Bosco Prep joined rankings for first time in 11 years and face big test Saturday at St. Joseph Regional.
No. 12 DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) moved to 6-0 after defeating rival Good Counsel (Olney, Md.) 7-0. The game was scoreless until midway through the fourth quarter when Tristan Sabb found Penn State commit Lavar Keys in the end zone for six. DeMatha sealed the win by forcing a fumble with under two minutes to play.
This week's only MaxPreps Top 25 matchup takes place in Southern California's Trinity League as No. 6 Mater Dei (Santa Ana) hosts No. 16 Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita) on Friday.
Mater Dei has won 11 in a row in the series dating back to 2011.
Both teams have experience against nationally-ranked opponents this season with Mater Dei sporting a 2-1 record in those contests and Santa Margarita going 1-1.
