Toronto designated hitter Adam Lind went back-to-back with Edwin Encarnacion in Wednesday's loss at Seattle. Lind's 14th homer of the season followed Encarnacion's and wasn't enough in the 9-7 defeat.

Lind finished the contest going 2 for 3 with two walks as he reached base four times. He scored twice and now has 41 RBI on the year. Lind is batting .281 for the Blue Jays.

The 30-year-old left-handed hitter picked up just his first extra-base hit since homering back on July 29 at Oakland. He had gone just 1 for 18 in his previous five games before Wednesday.
