While Reds outfielder Billy Hamilton has stolen 38 bases at the All-Star break, his 15 times caught stealing put him well atop the league in the negative category.

Hamilton was billed as an elite stolen-base threat after swiping 103 bases in 2011 and a massive 155 bags in 2012, but he was also caught 57 times during those two seasons. The inefficiency has carried over into his major-league career, as Hamilton has been caught six more times than the second-most nabbed runner. For comparison, steals leader Dee Gordon has been successful in 43 of his 52 attempts, while AL stalwart Jose Altuve has been caught just three times in his 44 attempts.
