Blue Jays left-handed reliever Jeff Francis has cleared waivers and will report to Triple-A Buffalo on Friday, according to SportsNet. Francis was designated for assignment by Toronto on Sunday.
The 11-year veteran has struggled in his first season with Toronto, and will look to right the ship in the minors. He could return to the team if a need for pitching depth arrises.
