One scout evaluated Mets outfield prospect Cesar Puello for CBSSports.com Baseball Insider Danny Knobler. Puello is leading the Eastern League (Double-A) with a .332 batting average.
"You know, he's a good player," the scout said. "He's a good hitter, and he's a solid defender, with a plus arm and plus accuracy."
Unfortunately, Puello's named has been linked in media reports to the Biogenesis scandal, which has cast doubt over Puello's future.
"I don't know what to even put in the 'Acquire?' box," the scout said theorectically, citing his team doesn't have ongoing trade talks with the Mets involving Puello. "You don't know if he's even going to play."
