Red Sox pitcher Clay Buchholz took a loss Monday, giving up four earned runs on five hits and one walk in seven innings and striking out seven in his team's 4-0 defeat against the White Sox.
Buchholz (3-5) served up a solo home run in the second inning and a three-run shot in the fourth, giving him five home runs allowed in three starts since coming off the disabled list. He was able to rebound from his second home run Monday and pitch three scoreless innings before calling it a night. Buchholz owns a 6.11 ERA and 50:25 K:BB ratio in 70 2/3 innings. He's scheduled to face the Astros Saturday.
