David Freese scheduled for batting cage Friday

Cardinals third baseman David Freese was able to do leg workouts Thursday and is scheduled to hit in the batting cage Friday, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Freese is hoping to play in a minor-league game this weekend. He's recovering from a back injury that necessitated placement on the DL to open the season.
