A National League executive has called a scenario involving a team trading for Giants starting pitcher Tim Lincecum and immediately transitioning him to the bullpen "far-fetched," CBSSports.com baseball insider Jon Heyman reports.

Lincecum's limited no-trade list does not include the Tigers or Red Sox, two teams that could be interested in adding relief help.

Lincecum, who threw his first career no-hitter in his final start before the All-Star break, is 5-9 with a 4.26 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 125:48 K:BB ratio in 116 1/3 innings over 19 starts.
