Howie Kendrick returns to the lineup

Angels second baseman Howie Kendrick is back in the lineup Friday against Houston, the Orange County Register reports. 

Kendrick was activated from the disabled list Tuesday and will make his first appearance since injuring his knee Aug. 5. Prior to the injury, Kendrick owned a robust .301/.341/.437 line with 11 home runs in 419 at-bats.
