Yankees outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury played in a minor-league game for the second consecutive day Wednesday and is scheduled to play in the minors again Thursday before potentially returning for Friday's game against the Marlins, MLB.com reports.
"I think he will be ready [for Opening Day], as long as he's feeling good and he's healthy," general manager Brian Cashman said.
Ellsbury played five innings in center field Wednesday and looks to be on track to make it back for the regular-season opener after dealing with a sore calf for the past two weeks.
