There will be another retired ballplayer competing on CBS' Survivor. The 29th season of the show -- titled, Survivor: San Juan del Sur — Blood vs. Water -- will feature none other than former MLB hurler John Rocker

Rocker, now 39, spent parts of six big-league seasons with the Braves, Indians, Rangers and Devil Rays and over that span pitched to a 3.42 ERA (132 ERA+) while logging 88 saves. Of course, Rocker is most famous for the controversial comments he was reported to have made about New Yorkers in a Sports Illustrated profile that ran in 2000

Rocker will be competing on the show alongside his girlfriend, Julie McGee ...

The new season begins Sept. 24 on CBS.
