Needless to say, newspaper copy editors and graphic artists likely had their plans of action place well in advance of Game 7 of the World Series between the Cubs and Indians. As it turned out, the Cubs prevailed in a taut and hotly contested affair and in doing so won the championship for the first time since 1908.

Best Indians headline? The Columbus Dispatch.

Best Tribe photo? The one on the front page of the Canton Repository is pretty darn evocative.

Best use of the "Cubs win" flag? Chicago Sun-Times, come on down.
