Nolan Ryan to publish beef cookbook
Rangers president Nolan Ryan will release a cookbook in 2014. Vegetarians probably won't be interested.

So, you want to know how Nolan Ryan makes a knuckle sandwich? First, you get Robin Ventura and then you just start pounding.
But we'll have to wait until May 2014 to see if that recipe makes the cut, because that's when Little Brown and Company will publish The Nolan Ryan Beef Cookbook.
According to a release by the company, the cookbook "will include 75 to 100 of Ryan’s favorite family recipes, some of which are identical to what Ryan grew up eating in his mother’s kitchen. These recipes will emphasize Texas BBQ and grilling, along with traditional Sunday Dinner favorites, but will also include roasting, pan searing, scoring, braising, and deep-frying."
Ryan has his own brand of beef, meaning it's unlikely there will be too many vegetarian options in his cookbook.
Although the release says Ryan's cookbook will include barbecue recipes, that seems unlikely, as any true aficionado knows barbecue is cooking low and slow, while Ryan was best known for bring high heat.
Our friends over at @ProductiveOuts were playing with the hashtag #NolanRyanRecipes and had better jokes than mine. Here's my favorite:
