Omar Infante awaiting ankle examination

Tigers second baseman Omar Infante made his return to Detroit and is awaiting an examination on his left ankle, according to MLB.com.

Infante left Thursday's rehab game at Low Class A West Michigan after aggravating his injured ankle. He said he felt fine at the plate and that the pain picked up while accelerating through the basepaths. The 31-year-old expects to miss at least one more week.

"I think maybe one more week, two more weeks," Infante said.
