Major League Baseball completed its 2020 draft on Thursday. The spread of the novel coronavirus required the draft to be held virtually instead of in Omaha, Nebraska alongside the College World Series. The owners' desire to slash costs, meanwhile, led to the draft being shortened from 40 rounds to five.

The Baltimore Orioles selected Heston Kjerstad out of Arkansas with the No. 2 pick of the draft. He was the No. 17 prospect on R.J. Anderson's board, and his selection was one of the first round's biggest surprises. Our CBS Sports experts gave the Orioles a C for their class. Here's what they wrote:

Confusing draft for the Orioles. They used the No. 2 pick on slugger Heston Kjerstad, our No. 17 prospect, and it appeared they would sign him below-slot and use the savings on a top high school talent that fell to one of their later picks. The other shoe never dropped. The O's took safe-ish college hitters in Competitive Balance Round A (Jordan Westburg) and the second round (Hudson Haskin). Good players, all of them, but the Orioles held the No. 2 pick and didn't land a truly elite prospect. Feels like they could've had a very similar draft with the No. 15 pick.

Below you'll find a full list of the Baltimore Orioles' 2020 picks.
