Blue Jays injured reliever Ramon Ortiz will not require surgery, the Toronto Star reports Tuesday.
Ortiz was placed on the 60-day DL with a right elbow strain, but he does not have a tear. The Blue Jays have said he's not close to beginning a rehab assignment.
