Ryan Braun is your Milwaukee Brewers all-time home run king. Braun on Wednesday afternoon took former teammate Chris Narveson deep in the sixth inning at Miller Park for his 252nd career homer, breaking a tie with Hall of Famer Robin Yount.

More of a power slugger than Yount, Braun needed about 6,300 fewer at-bats to grab the Brewers record. As our Matt Snyder wrote when Braun tied Yount a few days back, the Brewers franchise has existed only since 1969, when it was the Seattle Pilots for a year before Bud Selig brought them to Wisconsin.

You want to see the homer already? Watch:

It's his 22nd homer in 2015. Kind of a reserved call by Brian Anderson of Brewers TV, and a subdued reaction by Braun. The elephant in the room regarding Braun, of course, is his association with performance-enhancing drugs, to which he (eventually) admitted using in 2013.

You have to wonder if, as Braun was coming into the dugout for high fives, he thought, "Man, I'll have to answer questions about Biogenesis after the game because of this record, won't I?" Well, he brought that on himself, but it also mutes the buzz of his achievement for everyone, no matter if you care about PEDs some, a lot or not at all.

Here's a fun list of Brewers all-time home run leaders:

Brewers' Franchise HR Leaders
Rank Player HR AB AB per HR AVG OBP SLG
1 Ryan Braun 252 4,649 18.45 .304 .366 .545
2 Robin Yount 251 11,008 43.86 .285 .342 .430
3 Prince Fielder 230 3,527 15.33 .282 .390 .540
4 Geoff Jenkins 212 4,407 20.79 .277 .346 .496
5 Gorman Thomas 208 3,544 17.04 .230 .325 .461
6 Cecil Cooper 201 6,019 29.95 .302 .339 .470
7 Ben Oglivie 176 4,136 23.50 .277 .345 .461
8 Greg Vaughn 169 3,244 19.20 .246 .333 .459
9 Jeromy Burnitz 165 2,768 16.78 .258 .362 .508
10 Paul Molitor 160 7,520 47.00 .303 .367 .444

Look at the context of at-bats per home run. Yount and Molitor are both in the top 10 gross of homers, but both trail in terms of home-run pace. Still, they're the two best hitters on this list. And any grouping of Brewers that includes other Harvey's Wallbangers -- Ben Oglivie, Cecil Cooper and Gorman Thomas -- is worth staring at.
