The dugout dust-up appears to be much ado about nothing

During the course of the Blue Jays' Wednesday triumph over the Yankees (TOR 7, NYY 4), reigning AL MVP Josh Donaldson struck out, hurled his implement upon returning to the bench, and exchanged possible naughty words with Sheriff of Dugout County John Gibbons.

Regarding these matters, please witness the following action-sports highlights ...

Near-hostilities!

It's August, Donaldson has struggled in recent games, and brief words were exchanged before teammates intervened. This is officially No Big Deal and also One Of Those Things That Happens.

As pleasant-smelling proof of these claims, please regard Donaldson's post-game comments regarding this clash with his manager:

So, despite momentary appearances, all seems to be well in Blue Jay Land. Also worth remembering is that Donaldson has been quite open about his workplace affections for Skipper Gibbons ...

Again, all is well. Of note is that Donaldson in this same game was forced out because of a jammed right thumb, but he told reporters afterward that he expects to be in the lineup when the Jays play again on Friday.
