WATCH: Miracle on Ice players 'shoot' first pitch in Triple-A game
Ken Morrow, John Harrington and Mike Ramsey, three members of the 1980 Miracle on Ice team, "shot out" the ceremonial first pitch at a Triple-A game on Saturday.
Saturday night in Rochester, three members of the 1980 Miracle on Ice USA Olympic hockey team threw out the ceremonial first pitch prior a Triple-A game between the Rochester Red Wings (Twins) and Syracuse Chiefs (Nationals).
Of course, these are hockey players we're talking about, so they didn't throw out the first pitch. They shot it with hockey sticks. Ken Morrow, John Harrington and Mike Ramsey did the honors. Here's the video:

That's not all though! Both the Red Wings and Chiefs wore special Miracle on Ice jerseys during the game. Here are infielder Nate Hanson (left) and right-hander Mark Hamburger (right) modeling the jerseys (photo via Rochester Red Wings):

The umpires wore referee jerseys as well. That's Red Wings director of communications Nate Rowan in the middle. Neat!
Morrow, a defenseman, was playing at Bowling Green when selected for the 1980 team. He joined the Islanders immediately after the Olympics in 1980 and helped the team win the Stanley Cup later that year. Morrow currently works in the Islanders' front office.
Harrington was a forward for the 1980 Olympic team after playing his college hockey at the University of Minnesota Duluth. He later played professionally in Switzerland before getting into coaching. Ramsey was the youngest player on the 1980 gold medal winning team. He was a defenseman and went on to play in over 1,000 games in the NHL.
"For me, I remember where I was when a man walked on the moon, where I was watching that game and where I was when (President John F.) Kennedy was shot," said Rochester manager Mike Quade to Kevin Oklobzija of the Demoncrat & Chronicle about the Miracle on Ice team. "It was a beautiful memory for me."
Unfortunately, Quade's team dropped Saturday night's game (SYR 10, ROC 4) after the three ceremonial first "shots." That was still a pretty awesome ceremony though.
