WATCH: No. 1 overall pick Dansby Swanson hits first pro home run
The Diamondbacks' top choice went yard for Hillsboro of the Northwest League on Thursday night.

Back in June, the Diamondbacks made Vanderbilt shortstop Dansby Swanson the top overall pick of the First-Year Player Draft, and soon thereafter he agreed to a $6.5-million signing bonus. On Thursday night, playing for Low-A Hillsboro of the short-season Northwest League, Swanson clouted his first home run as a pro. Check it out (and note that the Hillsboro Hops have a pretty darn good broadcaster) ...
Authoritative!
As far as those exceptional uniforms are concerned, know that they're a tribute to the bygone Portland Mavericks ...

Not familiar with the Mavericks? You gotta see this movie ...
As for the 21-year-old Swanson, he's just seven games into his pro career, so much more of him to come.
Seriously, see the movie.
