X-rays negative on Jake Peavy's wrist

Red Sox pitcher Jake Peavy underwent X-rays on the wrist of his pitching hand after being hit by a comebacker Thursday but the X-rays revealed no breaks, WEEI.com reports.

Peavy will likely have to wait unil his between-starts bullpen session before determining whether the bruised wrist will cost him time.
