Orioles' Sharlon Schoop: Returns to Orioles on minor-league deal
Rotowire
Schoop re-signed with the Orioles on a minor-league contract Monday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Schoop, the older brother of Orioles second baseman Jonathan Schoop, has been in the Orioles' system since 2014. The 30-year-old has yet to reach the majors and owns a career .220/.281/.332 slash line in 125 Triple-A games. He's unlikely to be anything more than organizational depth for Baltimore.

Orioles' Sharlon Schoop: Sent to Aberdeen
Rotowire
Schoop was sent from Triple-A Norfolk to rookie camp in Aberdeen on Saturday.
Schoop's roller coaster career continues with this latest demotion. After slashing .348/.423/.435 over eight contests with Double-A Bowie, he hit just .167 in eight games in Norfolk. At 30 years old, Schoop's odds of ever donning a big-league uniform seem to have faded away.

Orioles' Sharlon Schoop: Transferred to Triple-A
Rotowire
Schoop was promoted to Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday.
Schoop was mauling Double-A pitching to the tune of a .348 batting average, so he'll jump up a level to strut his stuff against higher-level hurlers. The younger brother of major-leaguer Jonathan Schoop hasn't found much success above Double-A in his past, however, so he'll look to buck the trend in this most recent assignment.
