  • Padres' Korry Howell: Returns from IL

    Howell (shoulder) was reinstated from Double-A San Antonio's 7-day injured list Friday and went 0-for-4 with an RBI in his return to the lineup Saturday. Howell missed approximately five weeks while recovering from a minor shoulder injury. The Padres cleared the 24-year-old outfielder to rejoin their Double-A affiliate after he went 2-for-15 with four runs, three stolen bases and a 5:5 BB:K over six rehab games in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League.

  • Padres' Korry Howell: Out with shoulder injury

    Howell is on the 7-day injured list at Double-A San Antonio with a minor shoulder injury, Baseball America reports. He injured his shoulder making a diving catch and has not played since May 30. Howell hit .194 with zero home runs, nine steals and a 34.1 percent strikeout in 20 games prior to suffering the injury. He is slated to return sometime in July.

  • Padres' Korry Howell: Dealt to Padres

    Howell and Brett Sullivan were traded from the Brewers to the Padres on Wednesday in exchange for Victor Caratini. Howell advanced to Double-A Biloxi in 2021 and slashed .235/.318/.429 with four homers, 18 runs, 15 RBI and four stolen bases across 28 appearances. The 23-year-old will presumably head to Double-A San Antonio to begin the 2022 campaign.
