    Walters was released by the Angels on Saturday, Sarah Valenzuela of the Los Angeles Times reports. Walters made his big-league debut at the tail end of last season but made just one appearance. He spent the bulk of the season at the Double-A level in the Brewers' organization, where he posted a 4.84 ERA and 63:15 K:BB across 44.2 innings.

  • Angels' Nash Walters: Reassigned to minor-league camp

    The Angels reassigned Walters to minor-league camp Tuesday. Walters managed to crack the big leagues for the first time last season, even if it was for just one-third of an inning. He spent most of last season in Double-A within the Brewers' farm system, but was promoted to Triple-A upon joining the Angels and will likely return there to begin 2023.

  • Angels' Nash Walters: Back with Halos on MiLB pact

    Walters re-signed with the Angels on a minor-league contract Nov. 28. After clearing waivers earlier in November, Walters elected free agency before linking back up with the Angels a week and a half later. The 25-year-old right-hander reached the big leagues for the first time in 2022, retiring one of the three hitters he faced in his lone appearance. Walters will likely spend the majority of the 2023 campaign at Triple-A Salt Lake.

Walters was traded to the Angels in early September, and he posted a 6.75 ERA and 1.57 WHIP in 5.1 innings over seven relief appearances at Salt Lake. He hasn't yet made his major-league debut but will join the Angels' bullpen after Archie Bradley (forearm) was placed on the injured list Thursday.
